Finally Back!

It's been SOOOOO long since i last used the internet. 2 weeks i guess? Didnt know wat did my sister did to my computer so sent for repair-- by my cousin. He's so smart, know so much computer stuff...

Think i got alot of cathing up to do.. (reading u guy's blog)... to keep me updated. Wahaaas

Overseas AGAIN?

I used to want to fly.. COs i tot it's really cool to take aeroplane. But now, i'm "desensitised". Took too many flights for this year. Scared liao.

Aug- Taiwan (Attached Atec Umpire)
Sep- Thailand (Ex. Daring Cobra)

Haha.. Alot of people dun understand. Hello? GO there for training lei not shopping. (though it's free~ Haha) They tot go overseas for army training is fun. I say IT'S NOT!! The mountains super high there.. Climb can die~ (though it's an experience)
In Singapore training, though we train hard, at least during weekends we can go out and meet frens. But over there, after missions, we return to camp. Cut off contact with the rest of the world. No form of entertainment. BORING!

Today went back camp to send out kit bags.. Arghh such a drag.. I'm the PACKET I/C again! SO many responsibilities.. So MAfan! Count strength again n again.. And i cant imagine going back to thailand for missions again. The 2 previous trips are as attached troops so not so xiong but now... IT'S OUR OWN MISSIONS!

Think i better get some sleep now cos only slept for 3hrs. Yesterday went ZOuk with Shannon. *Seh~~ He dragged me along cos he say it's closing for renovation (eh.. Like got my prob) Then he dun drink cos he had to drive so i end up drinking his share.. 5 glasses housepours! *Seh~~ But then surprisingly i was drunk. Wahahas..

Saw quite a few frens there... All took awhile to recognise me. (How come ar? MOre "lang gah" isit? lolx)

Insensitive!!

I think it's time for me to say something here...

Read a fren's blog... Tot he was too INSENSITIVE to say and declare to the whole world that the who ever guy in SUPERSTAR is a blind man.. (though i dun watch it at all) Even hv the cheek to say "well, he duno me wat so i can say wateva i wan". Yah.. so wat if he's blind? Cant a blind man hv dreams and visions?

I put that into test-to see if u can stand it if people start calling u names which they think you are. So i started calling u names which i tot suits u (cos u even said it urself.... u admit it wat.. so i continue to call lo.. End up u get hurt? Hahaa.. then dun Say such things la!) I know i'm risking the friendship here but i wan u to feel how it's like to be called names.. (u know i dun do tt, tt explains y u feel hurt and surprised to get it frm me)

Yah.. U say reality... Then he's the one that stands out to SHAME the whole world and to be an ambassador to the rest of the "handicapped" people that they oso can hv dreams and they CAN fulfil it if they want to. Finally Outfield is Over!

Yes! Finally it's over and i can count down to the days to my R and R but ironically i SPRAINED my ankle. ='(
4 days of toil.. actually it's better than nothing to do in camp.

I was delighted to be attached to Shannon as their team commander cos at least i know all the ppl in the grp then can interact so that outfield wouldnt be so boring..And i regretted noy bringing my digital camera out! Arghh... The scenery outside was so so great.. so nice... Esp when we went to the top of a "mountain"( we call it knoll). The highest i ever climbed was 490m above sea level.. (xiong) It was a gruelling 6hrs butt firming exercise... We walked for 6 hrs (oso resting alot) juz to reach to the top.. juz barely 4km route but it's going uphill and it's steep + our heavy fieldpacks.. tt's why took us so so long...

Thankfully the officers gave us advice not to bring so much outfield.. Cos we were initially told tt we will not be resupplied so we had to bring all the stuffs we ever need for this 4 days outfield. I initially brought 1 pair of uniform, 3 days of cambat rations, 7litres of water... i only managed to lift it up and walked a few metres before i couldnt take it.
Lt Khoo,"Whoa... u guys siao ar~~ U nvr come Taiwan before, nvr climb the mountain before, u sure u wana bring so much? F***ing shag one lei..."
So after much tot and several trips back to bunk to remove my stuffs before going outfield, i oni brought 5.5litres of water, 1 day combat ration and lotsa money... (praying that ninja vans will miraculously appear whenever i feel hungry..)

2nd day into the misson, Shannon set the GPS in such a way that by following the arrow on the screen, it will take us to the destination we wana go.. Cool sia... Fasinated by it, walk n walk n faster n faster cos the incredible stuff can actually calculate the speed we're moving (amazing)... Staring at the screen, then *CRACK*... IMMEDIATELY Blood gushed to my brains, tears welling up in my eyes... I SPRAINED MY ANKLE!!! *faint* imagine twisting my ankle in such awkward postion + the almost 10kg load on tt poor ankle. Arghhh... PAIN!!! but then as a Garang soldier, as the team UMPIRE, i bravely say.. It's ok... *qua qua* calmly pass the GPS back to Shannon n limped slowly n quietly cos i'm bearing the pain...
I end up walking with the sprained ankle for the rest of the 2 missions cos there were not enuff Umpire to replace me so tt means i cant fall out. Tk God all his missions were surveilance..

This was for 1st mission

Bearing the Pain...

So it continues to the next day. We were separated frm the exercise troops to some place where the Umpires had to submit their Umpire Guns for uploading of events that happened to the troops thereafter we went to a small village.

At the place, i was walking towards the huts to buy some water when i saw a "ah ma" lying on the floor with alot of blood... *faint* no wonder we saw the medic ran so fast to grab his equipments then back to the huts. He's trying to save her life! Heroic Act! The poor "ah ma" was actually committing suicide.. Duno for wat reasons but i tot it was quite pitiful. I told sasikumar wat i saw then was shocked by his reactions.
Sasi,"Pls la.. Why choose such a painful death? Slashing knife on the wrist very pain lei.. There's so many natural forms of suicide areas here wat..."
(huh? wat u mean by natural forms of suicide area?)
"There... Those MOUNTAINS lo... Just climb up then jump down can already wat.... Hehehe...."
(walao.. Why u so bad one?)
"HHmm... But i think by climbing up the mountains halfway she die liao.. LOLX...."
Tks eh....

Then juz before i was attached to the team for mission 2, my stomach hurts... BIG TIME! Dun feel like shiting but juz immense pain.
Buck,"Isit like menstrual cramps?" NOOOO... Tks ar~~
Duno wat caused it.. I was made to sit on the jeep with the scouts as they'll be inserted to their objective by jeep.. (my 1st time on a jeep!) My stomach hurts so much that NOW i feel like shitting.. So i was praying.. God.. make them reach the objective faster so i can do my business but then i realised frm the map, it's another 30more mins to the objective!! Argh... bear urine i can (i tried bearing for 3hrs before.. hello... not for fun k? of cos got reason la!) but SHIT? NOOO... Then God did a miracle.. They realised they forgot to bring Andrew along (he's supposed to be in the team but was left behind) Then i begged Shannon to let me go shit
Shannon,"Can later anot? Bring andrew very fast one le.."
(no... cant take it liao.. Juz let me down while u try to reverse the jeep) [cos they went to a wrong track]
Yippee... "si fok sai".. Done in 1 min then went to look for them
Shannon(they juz rested for awhile after reversing the jeep),"Hey... tot u wana shit? Forgot to bring toilet paper ar?"
(no la.. I'm done liao...)
Shannon,"Huh?? So fast ? u shit like u dig nose lidat lei.. So fast!"
(ya.. try bearing it for almost 15-20mins. Pressure builds up sure come out fast wat...) lolx

While on the way up to the mountain tracks to our postion, the jeep moved past thru a protruding branch then it creates a huge spring effect..
Shannon,"Becareful a........."
Before i can even react, *SPIAK* I was stunned.. Half my face feeling Hot. Buzzing in my ear, numbness on my left arm. Yes... I WAS SMACKED in the left side of the body by the branch!! *cry* Why???? So unfortunate.
It was a hard impact! Now got scratch marks on my left side of my face. Left arm bruised.

I think i came Taiwan juz to get injured.. Even worse... at the top of the mountain, I had Diarrhoea! Ate some painkillers originally meant for my knees hoping it can help my diarrhoea then wen to sleep..
Tk God.. It works... no more pain in the morning. PTL. lolx.

So this was for mission 2.

Back to "Loboh"ing

3rd mission was nothing.. Just in a hasty effort walked to our objective then do surveilance. After that the battalion fought their last battle opposite where we where... Earlier, there had been rumours of another in-coming typhoon.. We tot it's cool cos exercise will be cut then we can go str8 to R n R. We were waiting n waiting but nothing happens..

End of mission.. Yippeee... Finally get to shower after 4 days.. Btw, quite a few of us "injured". Aeron got rashes again. Yixiang got sore eyes then kena quarantined. Sian. But he super slack! Only went for 1st mission cos the TC that he's attached to got bad re-occurant back injury then wanted to fall out then they were only "rescued" on the 3rd day...

Went to see the Medical officer in the morning abt my ankle.. He tot i fractured it cos it was bruising badly and swollen. Sent me for x-ray.. Tk God again... Nothing much.

Back to Loboh lo... So shuang... R n R coming but super "tired by half" when i got sprained ankle..
Sat on the PC screen trying to blog since 2.30pm.. now's 5! and i paid 10 yuan for every 30mins use of internet... Hmmm.. Today internet bills expensive wor~~

Opss... Did i mention about the in-coming typhoon? NOOOO.... Dun come now~~~ If not our R n R gone!!!

6th day in Taiwan

And i almost flipped when i realised i've spent almost $40(sing) on food and internet. *faint* I havent even go out of camp! Arghhh....

There's a planned nights out tomorrow and i really hope we can go before we go outfield.

Info on Typhoon Talim i got frm net,"TAIPEI (AFP) - Two people were killed and 39 injured, at least three seriously, as Typhoon Talim pounded Taiwan with strong winds and heavy rains, forcing offices, schools and financial markets to close.
Winds uprooted billboards and trees across the island, all domestic flights were canceled and many trains and international air services were delayed. Hmm.. But wat we experience here is juz very strong winds and on n off rains.. Tt's all!! Quite disappointing for a 1st hand experience of a real typhoon. Because the typhoon was travelling up north-west while we're in the southern part of taiwan so wun affect much. I was expecting some uprooted tress, flying zinc plates, massive flood, FLYING COW... but no... juz strong wind. (Hmmm... but taking into consideration tt while even at the south we can experience such strong winds, it must be much much worse in the North..)

It started to subside tis morning when i woke up. Feeling warm again. There was actually a blackout last night but i was too sound asleep to notice. My frens woke up cos there was no fan.

Heavy rain reduced to a drizzle. I expect that outfield is inevitable since now it's subsiding. arghh~~~ (hoping for another one to come? Wahahasss) At least keep the weather cool pls?? *fingers crossed*
